Grant Park is often referred to as Chicago's front yard. Formal garden beds surround Buckingham fountain, one of the largest fountains in the world with 133 jets of water. There is a White Garden designed to soothe motorists, the stately Court of Presidents, and a Spirit of Music Garden that combines the music of man and nature.

International Rose Test Garden

It would be hard to find a more picturesque spot for a garden--located on a bluff overlooking the city of Portland and the snow-capped peak of Mt. Hood. The International Rose Test Garden--the oldest public rose test garden in the U.S.--is breathtaking. This 4-1/2-acre garden boasts more than 9,000 roses, from miniatures the size of a quarter to gold-medal knockouts.

Clark Gardens

Clark Gardens started as Max and Billie Clark's backyard garden. Today, it is an 83-acre botanical park featuring more than 25 garden rooms, statuaries and even a chapel. You'd never know you were in the dry region of Texas--a network of man-made lakes designed by the Clarks water this charming hillside garden.
