First step: Everything gets pulled out of the shed!

Today Paul James is on the job helping Mike Baker reorganize his sloppy storage shed so he can quickly and easily find his yard and garden "stuff." Here’s Paul’s plan:

Step 1: Remove everything from the shed and start with an empty space.

Step 2: Stage or organize the stuff by category outside the shed.

Step 3: Sweep out the empty shed. Now it's time to get organized!

A new hanging track system accommodates Mike's entire tool collection, including shovels, rakes and trimmers.

Inexpensive hangers hold pruning and hand tools.

A box with see-through doors is handy for storing seed packets and other odds and ends.

Plastic storage bins allow items to be sorted by use and put away in the proper bin.

A "hidey hole" outside the shed provides an out-of-the-way spot for big, bulky items like wheelbarrows and hoses.

Every garden shed needs a quiet shady spot nearby to rest when the work is done.
