Q: What is a simple way to make insecticide?

A: This solution effectively battles mites, aphids and other pests. Since the mixture contains severe irritants, however, keep it away from skin and eyes.

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped red pepper
2 chopped garlic cloves
1 cup water

Steps:

  1. Mix ingredients in a pot, cover and let sit for 24 hours.
  2. Strain the mixture, then fill a misting bottle with the leftover  water.
  3. Spray the solution on plants to ward off pests.
