Backyard Water Garden

Before: Although the homeowners are unsure of what to do with the small bare space next to the patio, they know they want to improve the view.

The patio on the back of this house lacks landscaping. The home is fairly new and came with a minimal amount of plantings in the basic landscaping package. The plain walls nearby look stark without plants to soften them. The homeowners want a water feature, which will add lend to the landscape the sound and beauty of moving water. Pond designer Mike Guillinger creates a small pond with a waterfall, adding plants to soften the rocks and make the water garden look more natural.
