After

Landscape designer Daryl Pulis uses trees, flowering shrubs, vines and herbaceous perennials to camouflage hard structures in this backyard as well as provide privacy for the spa on the deck. Lattice hides outdoor utilities and acts as a backdrop for garden plantings. Along the property line, espaliered lorapetalum masks the chain- link fence and, along with a dogwood, blocks the view of the neighboring house.
