Grilling Tips

Room by Room : Episode RXR-1313 -- More Projects »
Matt Fox knows grilling is all about having the proper tools and offers these tips to make it easier:
  • Use a tray to carry everything from the house at one time such as cooking mitts , tongs for grabbing, a spatula for flipping and a fork for stabbing.
  • Enhance the flavor of meat with mesquite chips. Dampen them before you start cooking so the flavor saturates the meat.
  • For delicate items like lobster, fruits and vegetables, use ceramic cooking tiles . Place them on your grill to help keep the heat even.
  • Fox recommends cleaning every time you cook and provides this tip. When finished grilling, shut the lid and turn it up to high for about 20 minutes. Let the food drippings heat up, and then clean them off with a scraper.
