Judy's birdhouse collection gives a definite country feel to the screened porch.
When Judy and Lincoln Paine purchased their Maine country home on the banks of a small river, it featured little more than a wooded hillside and a combination chicken coop and two-seat outhouse. The entire family pitched in to create a woodland fantasyland, complete with benches, stone paths and a small bridge.

Judy is proudest of the fact that, aside from watering during the dry season, the landscape is maintenance-free. She offers some valuable tips on how to blend flowers and foliage that don't require much care.
