Jennifer now has a gorgeous garden refuge in the middle of Manhattan. For the first time she'll be able to entertain friends in a new dining area. The bluestone paving and reclaimed red brick combine beautifully, and by meandering through the garden, create a sense of journey, ending at the bench and pergola. With lots of shrubs, trees, herbs and edible plants, there will be something of interest in every season. Hollies, abelia and viburnums provide a wonderful foil for showy perennials like echinacea, sedum, heuchera, Michaelmas daisies and hostas. The cedar pergola will soon be covered in climbers such as clematis, ivy and honeysuckle. With lots of different types of plants to care for, this isn't a beginner's garden, but as the plants fill in, Jennifer will enjoy taking care of them.
