Rock Garden Escape
Landscape Solutions : Episode LSL-101 -- More Projects »
The random layout of the original rock garden didn't give the homeowners the natural look they wanted. Although the yard is large, there is no destination point and nothing to draw the eye. Landscape designer Ozzie Johnson has a solution for this landscape. He marks more appealing locations for the stones. The crew then places boulders, lays a steppingstone pathway and adds various plants such as hellebores, 'Gumpo' azaleas, perennials and ferns. At the destination point of the path, the team places a stone bench.
