The couple looks over the three design plans and decides to use the expertise of Stephen Mastey. The heart of his design is a double deck and arbor made of limestone and durable cedar timbers. The double deck gives them a private retreat on top and a great place to entertain below. The whole structure rests on a rebuilt, stone retaining wall and a set of stone columns. Along the base of the new retaining wall, Mastey plants day lilies, catmint and lots of colorful hydrangeas.
