Homeowner Judy Land's deck is empty, lacking style and purpose. Designer David Clemowitz has just the plan--a water feature covered by a romantic arbor, lots of trellis and potted plants, and a few choice seating areas for Land and her guests.

Star jasmine will climb up the new trellis. The homeowner's stone cherub is used as a focal point for a newly created seating area.

Mixed verbena, lobelia, alyssum, anemone, impatiens, asters and delphinium supply the pinks and purples that will help lend the deck the romantic look that Land wants.
