New York Jungle

We help a Brooklyn couple tame their overgrown backyard.

Landscapers' Challenge : Episode LSC-1301 -- More Projects »
Stacey and Jonathan love the convenience of their home in the hip borough of Brooklyn, New York. It's just 20 minutes from Jonathan's job in Manhattan, but they still have space for their own backyard. Unfortunately, their overgrown yard is more of an urban jungle, and their broken-down concrete patio is anything but entertaining. With a $25,000 budget, they turn to John Rattigan, Regina Cassorla and Pete Pietromonaco to see who can rise to the challenge and give them a backyard to be proud of.

Before: Urban Jungle
About the only positive thing to say about Stacey and Jonathan's old backyard was that it all went together: The ankle-high grass was a perfect match for the worn-out fence, unsightly iron gate and broken concrete patio. They wanted to transform this eyesore into a safe place for their preschooler to play and a relaxing area where the grownups can have some fun as well.
