This arrangement will last at least 3 to 5 days, or even up to a week, with just a little drink of water each day.
Here's a beautiful, bountiful centerpiece that you can put together for the holidays, dinner parties or whenever. Just follow these easy steps:

Materials:

large pedestal bowl or container
plastic liner to fit in bottom of container
block of florist foam
wood picks
assorted fruit -- apples, oranges, peaches, grapes, pears
greenery, such as bush ivy and small-leaf ivy
fresh roses

Steps:

1. Cut block of foam to fit liner (figure A).

2. Place foam in liner; wet foam thoroughly and place foam and liner in bottom of container (figure B).
3. Use wood picks to pick fruit and then stick in foam. Start with largest pieces of fruit and work to smallest (figures C and D).

4. With grape bunches, wrap wire around stem to secure (figure E).

5. Accent around edges with greenery (figure F) again working with largest pieces first to smallest. Allow small ivy to drape toward table.

6. Finally, place roses in open spaces among fruit.
