Rebecca Kolls recycled a favorite watering can into a beautiful container garden.
If you have a watering can that's showing its age but you don't have the heart to throw it away, make it a part of your garden. Your watering can will make an excellent container for potted flowers.

As with any container, you need drainage. Add pieces of pottery, then add some potting soil.

Once it's half full with soil, sprinkle in some polymer crystals. Add some time-release fertilizer, then another layer of soil that's an inch or two deep.

Now you're ready for plants. Some suggestions--a cigar plant, geranium or vinca vine.

Make sure you keep it watered and you'll have a great display of flowers.
