White gaura (Gaura lindheimeri) is a "foolproof" perennial that generally thrives in the Southeast and Southwest, where other perennials tend to struggle. This plant is drought-tolerant and never requires dividing. Gaura lindheimeri also blooms all season with beautiful moth-like white blossoms that fade into pink. Zones 5-9.
