About the Car Barn Exterior: The story of the car barn's construction begins with pine, harvested and milled locally, and rough sawn into siding, which in turn is stained a muted shade of gray. Hemlock timbers, also constructed from locally sourced lumber, form the car barn's gable end – an architectural element that also offers structural support. Lastly, poplar bark siding tells a story of sustainability, as siding is manufactured from the bark of tulip poplars harvested for other manufacturing purposes. "The garage feels so solid and grounded with the poplar bark siding and heavy timbers," says builder Brendan O'Reilly. "It feels like a red carpet ride to pull your car into the driveway."
