GKI/Bethlehem Lighting introduced the seven-and-a-half-foot Hunter tree in 2006, and it was so popular that it now comes in a flocked version for '07. Long, dramatic branches are flocked by hand, giving the tree a downswept, elegant appeal. GKI's trees have an evenly dispersed light because the lights are wrapped starting at the trunk and extending out, rather than wrapping around in circles. They can last up to 10 years, depending on your storage method.

Buyer's Tip: When considering pre-lit trees, Sharon Epstein, marketing service manager, cautions against less expensive models. "The less expensive a tree, the fewer tips it will have and the fewer lights it will have," she says.
