Built generations ago by hard-working serious-minded fishermen, the Flannerys' charming seaside home had for years paid little attention to the beauty of the surrounding ocean scenery. So in designing their master bed and bath suite, the couple's main concern was to take a fresh look at the space inside and outside.

The ceiling’s structure, the alcoves, nooks and crannies used to maximize the living space, and the antique reproduction bed suggest a cottage-like feel in this master bedroom.
