Watch as Richard Jolley begins the glass-making process.
Glass can add a decorative element to a country home with its colors and sheen, offering a creative element you simply can't get in other media. Tommie Rush and Richard Jolley are a glass-making husband and wife team and around their Knoxville, Tennessee studio, work is always a blast--sandblast, that is!

He sculpts classic totems, animals and people in explosive combinations of color and form; she forms delicate vases and bowls in translucent, shimmery colors. From the most ordinary grains of sand can come the most extraordinary shapes and colors. With the help of a few simple hand tools--and gravity--the glass begins to take shape into a wonderful work of art.
