There's nothing like curling up at night in a soft and cozy bed. But how do you create that dreamy feeling for your bedroom? You give your bed the layered look--country style! Designer Kevin Simon explains how to dress a bed in layers.

Use hand-dyed linens for an old-fashioned, heirloom look. Choose a full bed skirt that drapes to the floor. Make the bed with two flat sheets that have been trimmed out in lace or a contrasting fabric. Simon doesn't suggest using vintage lace as it's too fragile for everyday handling. Pile on the pillows and get comfortable!
