Trash to Treasure: Dining Room Table, Shadowbox Coffee Table, Chalkboard Memo Center
Decorating Cents : Episode DCT-1707 -- More Projects »
Add laminate flooring to the center of an old tabletop frame (or construct your own) and trim out the edges. Place on top of an old desk base for a functional table.
Turn TV trays into memo centers. Spray the center with chalkboard paint and decoupage the edges with animal print tissue paper. Add magnets to the back of rocks with epoxy; paint the front in a zebra stripe. Add magnetic strips to the back of the tray and hang directly onto a metal surface.
Use two windows for a shadowbox coffee table. Be sure to choose two windows of the same size and with all of the glass intact. Hinge the two on one edge and attach four porch post spindles (cut down to size, if necessary). Add a handle to the top window for easy lifting.
