Make a garden-style shelf unit out of two small-scale columns and 1x2s. Add wooden squares to the column tops and add a pergola look with 1x2s cut at an angle. Add four shelves and brace the bottom with four rungs on either side of the column bottoms and 1x2s attached to the front and back. Keep all of the cuts at the same angle for a cohesive look.
