Use an old kitchen cupboard for mudroom or kitchen storage. Turn it vertically and add beadboard to the inside and sides. Add a shelf in the middle and finish the bottom with molding.

Use a receipt holder from a general store to hold memos, notes, postcards, tickets, programs or vintage photos.

Pair a wood box with tin tiles to create beautiful planters. Build a box form and drill holes in the bottom for drainage. Cut the tin tiles to fit all four sides, if necessary (remember to wear heavy-duty gloves). Hammer the tin to the box and fold the top edge over and under; secure with nails.
