Trash to Treasure: Coffee Table, Fireplace Screen, Wall Sconces
Decorating Cents : Episode DCT-1611 -- More Projects »
Create an architectural look with an old table base. Attach a column top, wooden round and bun feet (or porch finials) in that order. Attach each piece upside-down so that when the table is turned over the pieces serve as the new base. Add a finial to the center, if necessary and paint. Screw furniture cups onto each leg and top with a round glass tabletop.
Pair silver trays and old round car mirrors for funky candle sconces. Simply attach the door mirror with screws and place a candle on the mirror. Drill a hole at the top for a chain to hang it on the wall.
Windmill blades make up this decorative fireplace screen. Drill three holes into a piece of old baseboard (drill the two outer holes at an angle for the blades to fan out). Secure the blades with flat brackets screwed in from the back.
