  • Embellish a loosely woven fabric with shells for a table overlay. Use a sheer fabric if you want to show off a patterned fabric underneath. Simply hot-glue shells onto the fabric and place over a table.

  • Layer shells in the bottom of a hurricane lamp. Insert a candle and fill the space around it with more shells.

String shells for a natural lampshade tassel.
  • Decorate a lampshade with stringed shells. Choose shells of similar size and shape and drill a small hole into each. String onto cord and knot at each shell. Drill evenly-spaced holes into the bottom of a shade. Insert the stringed shells and tie a knot in the back.

  • Adorn a plain pillow with a shell tassel. Drill a small hole in four shells and tie onto raffia. Sew each tassel onto the pillow corners.
