This great modern style home with its roots in the Midwest is a lesson in architectural history. Hosts Matt Fox and Shari Hiller concentrate on the living room complete with green shag carpet, wood paneling and stone walls, which were considered modern 30 years ago. This home was very progressive at one time and the Prairie school of architecture influenced its style, which was a reaction to ornate Victorian design. Fox and Hiller update the '70s look with a more current contemporary style after doing some research and careful planning by adding ripped wallpaper, recycled redwood trim and many furnishings from the new homeowners' old house.
