Turn a discarded clock case into something special by cutting a round piece of wood to fit the opening. Attach a clock mechanism to the back, then whitewash and crackle the front for an aged look. Paint numbers and sand lightly for a worn patina.

Fix up a table that is missing a drawer by removing the apron and reattaching the base. Paint it yellow, wipe umber stain over surface and then sand a bit.

Create a whimsical table for kids by combining new or old table legs, wainscoting (as an apron) and a chalkboard (for the top). Put trim around the top and paint as desired.
