To Draw Circles:
  1. Drill a 1/8-inch hole in the handle end of a paint stir stick. Measure from that hole to half the width of desired circle. For instance, if creating an eight-inch circle, measure down four inches.
  2. Drill a hole at the marked point. Place a nail or tack in the hole at the handle and a pencil in the other hole for a perfect circle (figure A).

To Find the Center of a Round Tabletop:

  1. Cut out a piece of craft or newspaper cut to the size of the top. Fold it in half, and then in quarters (figure B).
  2. Unfold to see the center, and lay it on top of the table to see its center.
