Hang fringed linen panels on swing-arm rods. Sew the selvage ends and unravel the linen to create a fringe. Knot the fringe close to the edge and tie onto rods.

Hang double-sided rolled shades on French doors or windows that are rarely opened. Straight-stitch the two panels together and hang from clip hooks or a rod. Use ribbon to keep the panels in place.

Add wooden rings to a decorative table runner and hang from a rod for a café-style valance.
