Simple awnings add to the look of the café and are easy to make.
Awnings

Materials:

fabric
interfacing
iron
round container
scissors
hot glue gun
decorative trim

Steps:

1. Cut the fabric and interfacing to the desired size, adding extra at the top for the rod pocket and the bottom for scallops. Iron the fabric onto the interfacing as directed. Use the base of a plastic container to make the scallops along the bottom edge, and then cut them out.
2. Fold the top edge over and sew a rod pocket in place.
3. Hot-glue trim along the scalloped edges as a finishing touch.
