When combined with antique furniture pieces and accessories, modern rustic charm is sure to warm the heart.
Cinnamon and raspberry shades with gold accents are hot colors in this style (figure A).
Rustic charm features wicker or rattan furniture with a worn look that adds character and dimension.
Combining unusual elements such as wrought iron and other metal pieces along with wicker and floral fabrics is another aspect that works well.
Use curved and rounded pieces to create this look in small spaces such as a sunroom or porch.
Incorporating lots of texture in upholstery fabrics and window treatments is another great way to add a little rustic charm to a room. Sew torn pieces of fabric to muslin for a textured valance (figure B).
Hang framed grates of various sizes and shapes for a unique wall vignette(figure C).
Load a wicker baby buggy with plants for an unusual display (figure D).
