Quick Change Window

Velcro is the secret ingredient to creating window treatments that can be changed according to the season.

Sewing expert Pam Hastings creates beautiful window treatments that can be changed or layered according to the seasons.

Materials:

2" x 4" piece of wood cut to the width of the window
valance or swag
Velcro Brand Half & Half Hook & Loop Tape
staple gun
mounting bracket kit

Steps:

1. Add the adhesive side of the loop tape to the short side of the wood board.
2. Add mounting brackets to wide side of the wood board and attach to the wall as indicated on the package.
3. Sew the hook tape to any valance or window trimming.
4. Attach the loop tape to the hook side to hang.

Hastings created several window toppers including a burgundy swag, pennant-shaped pieces that were attached individually, and a Roman shade that used plastic loops and ribbon in its mechanics.
