Matt Fox gives some simple reminders for initial window treatments. They provide immediate privacy and can be enhanced during the decorating process:
  • Some window treatments need to be selected for function--privacy. If you have some color direction for rooms, select window coverings that coordinate. If unsure , stay with white or off-white.
  • Don't forget to consider how the selections are going to look from the outside . White finishes and linings look coordinated on the exterior.
  • Consider shades that can be drawn up tight for a full view during the day but pulled down at night for total privacy.
