Awning Treatment

Materials:

ruler
cup hooks
fabric panel
drill

Steps:

1. Find the middle of the arch. Mark the center of the arch width and drill a pilot hole. Screw cup hook in and hang center of panel in place.
2. Pull the next two side holes taut (figure A) and mark one side for the next cup hook. Drill pilot hole and put hook in place. Repeat process until complete.

Create an awning using a straight piece of fabric with scalloped edges, plus two end pieces. Use a sash rod or lattice nailed to the trim for the top, then install a curtain rod below to hold the fabric away from the window (figure B).
