Instant Festive Curtains

WINDOWS MEDIA VIDEO Dye inexpensive cheesecloth for an instant no-sew window treatment.

Replace your traditional window treatments with bright, fun and festive cheesecloth curtains. These no-sew, inexpensive curtains could be the perfect addition for your next party.

Materials:

cheesecloth
Dylon cold water fabric dyes
clip-on curtain hooks
Interior Expressions rods and finials

Steps:

1. Mount curtain rods according to instructions. You can mount these at the top of the window or lower to create cafe curtains.
2. Cut cheesecloth into strips to desired length. Note: Cindy Piccoli cut them longer than the window to allow them to "puddle" at the bottom.
3. Dye the cheesecloth strips according to the cold water dye package directions.
4. Allow fabric to dry.
5. Clip on cafe curtain hooks to the cheesecloth.
6. String curtains along rod and hang.
