Add color and texture using paper designs in a reverse decoupage technique on glass tiles.
Materials:

4" square glass pieces
paper designs (magazine images, wrapping paper or wallpaper , original artwork, photocopies, etc.)
scissors
craft knife
cutting mat
pencil
white craft glue
foam paintbrushes
silicone rubber cement adhesive
glass sandpaper
glass cleaner
grout (optional)

Steps:

1. Sand glass edges if necessary and clean each piece on both sides.

2. Lay glass pieces on a flat surface in the appropriate size for the surface to be covered.

3. Cut four-inch squares of paper in addition to portions of designs to cover the glass.

4. Brush a layer of glue over the glass, and then put the desired image face down over the glue and press out air bubbles. If the image is smaller than the glass, let it dry and use more glue to add another layer for dimension. Coat the back with another layer of glue. Repeat procedure on each tile and let them dry.

5. Arrange tiles on surface as desired and use silicone adhesive to attach them . Grout if creating a backsplash or tabletop.
