Mosaic Mailbox

Personalize your mailbox with colorful glass tile pieces in any design you can imagine.

Materials:

glass tile pieces
clear silicone adhesive
grout (2-3 bags)
tile nippers
safety goggles
smooth metal mailbox
grout/tile sealer
spatula
rubber gloves
sponge
paper

Steps:

1. Draw design and where the flag and closure will be directly on mailbox or on paper first. Transfer the design/markings if using paper.

2. Lay out glass pieces on the paper pattern (cut pieces to size as necessary with tile nippers).

3. Use silicone adhesive to put the mosaic pieces in place. Let dry.

4. Mix grout to a smooth peanut butter consistency. Apply it with a spatula and gloved hands to cover the sharp sides of the glass pieces.

5. Wait 10 minutes, and then remove excess grout with a damp sponge. Repeat until tiles are clean and all excess grout is removed. Allow grout to cure 48 to 72 hours , and then seal it.

6. Secure the flag and closure to the mailbox.
