A sleepy-looking master suite with stale decor is transformed into a serene and inviting space. Elaine and John Williamson have been married for 35 years and spent a lot of time working and raising their kids, leaving no time for decorating their bedroom. The space is in a dated and confused state, drowning in faded elements and cluttered furnishings.

The Williamsons' master suite may have been stylish in the 1970s with its hunter green walls, shag carpeting and king-size waterbed, but now it looks tired and outdated. Since the style of the room has been mostly influenced by Elaine, they would like to redefine the space by incorporating both feminine and masculine elements.
