Victorian Attics

If Walls Could Talk ... : Episode WCT-106 -- More Projects »
John McKenna had reason to believe that the first part of his 17,000-square-foot elegant Victorian home was built with stolen money. The second owners wanted a grander display of their wealth and expanded the home with additions to create the massive house.

McKenna has discovered the original roof, underneath a later roof, and has also found beautiful murals and writing on the attic walls. Another interesting fact of the house was revealed when McKenna solved the mystery of why two colors of doorknobs were used on the doors. White doorknobs faced the formal rooms of the house, while brown knobs were used on the sides servants would enter through.
