Canopy Bed
Ordinary, charcoal-color drapes are used to make a U-shaped, floor-to-ceiling canopy for around the top of the bed. Thin blocks of wood are screwed onto the ceiling then the drapes are fastened to the wood using hook-and-loop tape. To give a sharp contrast to the soft folds of fabric, a wooden headboard painted in zebra stripes is placed in front of the canopy. A plush, faux-fur bedspread reminiscent of seal skin adds even more texture and exuberance to the bed.

Drapes $81, headboard $19 and bedding $36
drapes and fabric: SR Harris - charcoal wool and slink black fur
