Scandinavian Furniture as Art

In the 1960s, designers wanted to revolutionize the world's concept of what furniture should be. The Scandinavians were no exception and their smooth, sensual furniture stood out in the crowd of '60s ultramodern design. Companies like Dansk and Marimekko produced popular accessories and fabrics while designers worked with master craftspeople to create exquisite home furnishings.
