Painted Antiques

In his south Texas home, Jim Lord has combined a number of different painted antique pieces to create a colorful--yet pulled together--country look. In the foyer a green server holds various country collections, while in the living room a massive blue farmhouse cupboard hides a television. Other painted pieces include a red corner cupboard, green table, shelves and chairs--even a red wooden toolbox is put to good use holding magazines. Although the colors run the spectrum, everything works together because the pieces are of the same period, style and simple construction.
