To achieve balance and reinforce the arts-and-crafts style, Behm designs two custom cabinets to flank the fireplace and hangs a mirror on one side of the fireplace to balance the window. New sconces also add balance and wood trim finishes and sets off the knotty pine ceiling. Sheer curtains with stenciled yellow squares, two new side chairs and a geometric rug emphasize the simple, rectangular lines of the arts-and-crafts style.
