Homeowners Lindsay and Brian Kaselak have been working on their 50-year-old home for a year and they're exhausted. While they feel confident with the renovations, they lack confidence in their design so they call in student designer Adam Behm to give their living room a new look. Inspired by the beautiful, tall knotty pine ceiling with open beams, Behm adds arts-and-crafts style to the space by painting the walls yellow, building furniture and reshaping the large stone fireplace.
Before: Off-Balance and Plain
The room has a large window to the backyard, French doors leading to a deck and the stone fireplace is the focal point. The walls are white and the furnishings are nondescript. The space has several large, attractive elements, but somehow they seem off-balance.For all available product information, click on the After photo(s) of the room.
