Materials:
Almost Leather foam (brown)
petroglyph horse stamps
Decor-it inks (Terra Cotta and Verdigris)
black inkpad
copy machine paper
beads
wire
makeup sponges
scissors
heat tool
hole punch
pen
plastic plate
needle -nose pliers
Steps:
1. Stamp the horse image with black ink on a sheet of paper. Double the size three times to make separate copies and cut the three larger images out for templates.
2. Trace each onto the brown foam and cut them out with scissors. Punch two holes in each about where a saddle would go. Heat each image until it starts to curl and turn it over to heat the other side so it stays flat. Once smooth on each side, concentrate the heat in the area to be stamped.
3. While the foam is still hot, randomly stamp impressions to create texture. Keep reheating specific areas until the designs cover the surface.
4. Squeeze small amounts of Terra Cotta and Verdigris ink onto a plate. Randomly and lightly rub each over the front and back of the design with makeup sponges. Let dry.
5. Attach beads to a piece of wire. Thread wire through the holes and wrap it around itself in back to secure it. Thread wire ends back through to the front and twist them with pliers for a decorative touch.
6. Use glue or double-sided tape to adhere the three designs together.
