Stencil a three-dimensional Greek urn onto canvas for an elegant art.

Materials:

pre-stretched and primed artist canvas
acrylic paint
stencil (Stone Urn #161)
flat paintbrush
stencil brushes
masking tape
frame (optional)

Steps:

  1. Base-coat canvas with acrylic paint.
  2. Position the first overlay of the stencil on the canvas and apply base color. Allow to dry. Shade according to package instructions (figure A).
  3. Position the second overlay on the canvas and apply the details according to package instructions.
  4. Add a freehand shaded effect by lightly brushing the surface where natural shading would occur (figure B).
  5. Remove stencils and frame if desired.
