Materials:
slate shape - heart or shape of choice
acrylic paint - 3 similar colors
stencil paste
Fanci-Kwik stencil #W9527
stencil paint and brush
sponge
Krylon 18k gold leafing pen
glue gun and hot glue
miniature clay pot
dried flowers
small block of floral foam
Steps:
- Sponge-paint the surface of the slate.
- Attach the stencil to the slate and apply stencil paste with an applicator. Remove stencil and allow paint to dry for at least one hour.
- Clean the stencil and re-attach it to the slate to use as guide for painting over the stencil paste.
- Use the gold-leafing pen to highlight the edges of slate.
- Press the small foam block into the miniature clay pot.
- Insert dried flowers into the pot and hot glue onto the slate.
