Develop the side petals next. Place a comma stroke very tightly around the bowl on the left and right sides (figure E). Place two smaller comma strokes right next to and below those.
Place smaller filler petals with comma strokes. Downsize the brush to fit it into the area more comfortably. Add a lazy S-stroke in front to form a petal that appears to be flipping over. Leaves
- Under-coat the leaves in Hauser Green Light. Apply several coats and allow to dry thoroughly. Do not rush ahead as paint lift may occur. Next, apply an even coat of blending gel to one leaf at a time. Double load a #10 flat brush with Hauser Green Light and Hauser Green Dark. Place the dark green at the base of the leaf.
- Fill in the remaining leaf with Hauser Green Light. Stroke blend from the bottom of the leaf to the top to soften color.
- While the green is still wet, wipe the brush on a paper towel and load with Ice Blue. Stroke Ice Blue on from the top edges of the leaf to the center. Add a thin vein with a liner brush loaded with Ice Blue.
