3" Base Coat Brush series 9095S

Steps:

  1. Paint the frames with white primer. Let dry then smooth with fine-grit sandpaper. Remove dust with tack rag. Base coat frame in desired color (Oxblood Red is ideal for gold bees and black for silver ones).
  2. Locate a bee design to create stencils. Draw outline of bee on stencil blank with fine line marker. Cut out with stencil burner or craft knife by placing stencil blank over a sheet of glass.
  3. Measure and mark the center point of the frame in both directions. Based on the size of the bee, spread the spacing of the pattern. For example, place 1" bees in a 1" grid.
  4. Mark 1" increments in both directions, and then use a chalk line tool or piece of chalk to create a grid across the frame. The bees will be placed at every other intersection.
  5. Load a stencil brush with Pure Gold and stencil the bee's body base. Alternate the direction of the bee in every other row. Stencil all bees' bodies. Let dry.
  6. Place the stencil for the wings and body details over the body. Load a smaller stencil brush with Inca Gold and stencil on these details. Let dry.
  7. Apply gloss varnish to bring out the metallic tones in the bees.
