Cindy Piccoli demonstrates how to create a beautiful textured stained-glass look on any ordinary window using glass paints.
Steps:
- Make sure the glass is completely dry before painting. With a china marker, trace the desired pattern on the piece of glass to be decorated.
- Place the marked side of the glass face-down, and apply liquid leading to the outline. Point the bottle straight down to get a good line. Use a cloth to wipe off any mistakes made with the water-based liquid. Let the leading dry for 48 hours.
- When the leading is dry, apply colors to the outlined areas. Shake the paint down to the tip of the bottle, and spread the color on the glass with either a brush or the tip of the applicator. The color will go on opaque but will dry translucent. Add an additional coat of paint for richer color.
- Use a single-edge razor blade to remove unwanted dried paint or design.
